1. Because God commands it and we must be obedient to God and submit to the authority of His Word. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.' Proverbs 22:6 "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4 (cf. Deut. 6:6-9)
2. Because "children are an heritage of the LORD." Psalm 127:3a their schooling is the parent's responsibility and each Christian parent will be held accountable at the judgment seat of Christ as to how they fulfilled this important responsibility.
3. Because it provides training that is supportive and consistent with that received in the Christian home and the local fundamental, Bible-believing church.
4. Because God is thereby pleased, and He blesses us and our children, and strengthens our testimonies. "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful." Psalm 1:1
5. Because all other schooling is non-Christian and therefore will not lead to the salvation or the spiritual growth of our children, but will contrariwise inculcate in our children a humanistic, anti-God philosophy. "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." Colossians 2:8 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Galatians 6:7
6. Because unsaved school teachers cannot assist us in carrying out God's commands regarding the training of our children. "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" Amos 3:3 The answer is no. And to form a partnership with unsaved teachers in the schooling of our children results in believers being unequally yoked with unbelievers. "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" II Corinthians 6:14
There is, I should say, a very serious error involved in a Christian parent's committing the training of his children to unconverted persons, or even to those whose hearts are not one with him as to separation from the world. It is natural that a child should look up to, and follow the example of, one who has the training and management of him. Now, what can a teacher make of a child, save what he is himself? What principles can he instill, save those which govern his own mind, and form the basis of his own character?

7. Because Christian schooling is available everywhere, either at a local Christian day school or by home schooling using one of the available Christian programs for teaching children at home.
